To my Darlin

(since I know you like poems, remember? haha!)

The beauties and treasures in our life,
Seem but grains of sand being blown away.
Only do they come when we need the sight
To see the road of victory in each passing day.

The wind that blows our sand afar,
Isn't mistaken, nor a play.
It is only He that blows them far
Just enough, so we can stay close to bay.

Words and advice that now seem mistaken,
Are now proof that wisdom only comes from Him.
Now, these new steps toward victory must be taken
For the One who gives light when all things dim.

Be strong, just till the mighty wind dies,
There will be a sight so true and bright.
Stand tall and shun all negative lies,
Let His love and mercy be your guide.

Though discipleship is a life of sacrifice,
There's one thing that is never required to forsake.
A friendship that grows and never dies
Is ours to keep and what we continue to make.
>>And nothing can sail between us!!<<
(hahaha)
I love you so much and I'm praying for you.
You're gonna make it through with high scoring grades,
cuz you've got like...potential, baby, yeah!!
Love, Your Agent
(Oh, umm...you'd better not fire me)

Espanol Verdad??

So its like this.

We're all suposto pray about where our goals, places, roles, incentives, etc., are in the offensive right? Well I did that the other day, real inspiring stuff, and got down some heavy duty info from the Lord. I would share it with you, but in a way...I dont think I will because...I dunno, I just wont. (...yeeah, wtv) Anyways, but one of my goals-that i can tell you about-is to speak spanish good enuf to witness. Ya know? And since during this year I'm on this finishing my school time, the Lord told me to squeeze in spanish and gave me a shabang of a goal for both-school and spanish-and that would be by...the end of this year. Pretty snazzy. Well. Not. Kinda hard, gonna take mucho mucho work in the arriba. But with the Lord, all difficulties will seem like breezes if you put your all into it. Amen?

So I started today, with talking to one of our OC's. And I think that's how I'm gonna really push it, since all of our kids' first language is spanish. I would speak to the adults, but...well thats another weakness...so we wont go there. Anyways, so it was in the lunch line..

Angel: "Why do we have to eat salad?"
Joan: "Porque...ensalada, es muy bueno para su estomigo"
Angel: "what is this?" *points to salad dressing*
Joan: "mirar amigo...esta es por (notice how I dont know beans on how to use the two forms of "for" in spanish and just say it however I please) la ensalada. Porque la ensalada is poco mal en su boca, verdad? ENTONCES!! Esta es para mas mejor sabor por la ensalada!!!" *BIG smile*
Angel: "uhh..okay"

*Joanie walks off with a great feelin of accomplishment*

Feels good, I'm tellin ya. To just get it out there and let the Lord do His work in making it become fluent...ahh, sucha Groovy Dude. Anyways, so that's alittle bit of my first baby step in....babying our new baby...TYJ? Hopefully, there will be more of testimonies of my improvements in my weak area of Spanish speaking...so you best be stayin in tune pal, or else!!! (...or else.....nufin.)

Ooh, and if you beginners are just beginning on speaking spanish, dis video will work WONDERS for you. Believe me, no better way then to get spanish drilled in your head with a song.Ahhh, te amo Mike!!! No sabe quien es usted, pero me gusta muchoo!! (stop teasing me about my grammar...its so totally perfect)

I think once Ang comes, we'll make a better, much more cooler spanish learnin MV... Offensive Activity!!

Kind of random, but once in awhile, I dabble in Calligraphy. I was quite proud that I actually did a project. Thot you might enjoy the wise sayings. My youngest sister, Cherish, sketched the cross in the first one. She's quite the artist of our family. Anyways, Love you! Bye!

Prayer Time

I get this email asking me to put this up on my blog since "alot of people come here"<-- hard to believe. Anyways, I'm doing this cuz it sounds pretty heavy and someone asked me to do it and I think this should be mandatory for all bloggers and that you should send up a pray right about....NOW...for Lisa who is paralized waist down from a car accident that happened last year.

And after you get that done, just go to this Link so you can get mas inspiried and motto super-dupered up in ur prayer life. Sayy, hokay? Hokay! Que bueno.

There's just something about Japan

I'm in Japan for a ten-day trip, and I took the liberty of extracting some Japanese culture for ya'll...(pardon the horizontal pics...computer trouble).

1. This pic has no explanation....I caught him alongside a vending machine...
2. The crowded trains of Jpan after work hours.
3. The shopping fever, Japs have it by the bag-full. Takashimaya is one of the popular, pricey ones.
4. This is a Jpanese convenience store (aka. combini)...yummy little food snacks to sell...
5. This is kind of like Jpanese fast food. Beef bowl.
6. This is just to bring back memories...a Jpanese vending machine.
7. Display food!
8. That's me and my Godfather, who is dying of cancer and who i was very happy to see before off to the Africas.
9.Everyone's favorite--Jpanese school girls! Peesu!

10. The ever passionate nightime train station bands. This one wasn't too bad. Remember those screaming ones in the tunnels?
11. Here you have a Japanese Freak on the streets of Shinjuku.

12. Tsutaya...oboiteru? The popular chain rental video store.

13. This one happens to be my favorite. It's the tissue man!! Tissue distributing is a way of advertising in Jpan. Everyone needs the handy dandy tissue packs. And they just slip the little ad papers in the back...Whatta cutie.

14. Curr dudes! Yeah, these guys are the shiz.

15. Hey, it's an asian April!!!!
16. I love Shinjuku...(Shinjuku is a big city in Tokyo. I guess it could be like "i love NY")
Hope you enjoyed!...Maybe I'll take some more?
